An afterschool wellness program at a Yokota Air Base elementary school in Japan is having a profound impact on the health of military dependents enrolled there. “Club 2-1-5-0” is a variation on the national 5-2-1-0 program, designed specifically to teach students the importance of good nutrition habits and physical activity.

The week of 8-14 March, 2015 was National Patient Safety Awareness Week sponsored by the National Patient Safety Foundation. This year’s theme was “United in Safety” and highlighted the importance of effective patient engagement when it comes to patient safety. The DoD Patient Safety team knows just how diligently Military Treatment Facilities around the world work day in and day out to deliver the best quality of care to your patients and their families and we want to acknowledge you!
