We know that organ, eye, tissue, and marrow donation impacts the lives of many recipients each year. But that gift of life touches many more lives beyond the individual who received the transplant. Consider the recipient’s family, friends, schoolmates, colleagues, and the many community members who benefit when one person’s life is saved by a transplant. And think about the courage and generosity of those who choose to become living organ or marrow donors. And, of course, the families of deceased donors who consistently say the donation was a positive result of their loved one’s death that helped them with their grief.
This National Donate Life Month we encourage you to tell the story of how donation has touched your life. Tell your friends in person or share it online.
