Dear colleagues,
The November issue of Health Communication Science Digest (HCSD or Digest) is now available athttp://www.cdc.gov/healthcommunication/ScienceDigest/index.html

Most of these papers are from a Journal of Health Communication special issue “Highlighting Progress in the Field of Health Literacy Research” which you can access at http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/uhcm20/19/sup2#.VHS3k3ZOmX8. Studies reporting on health communication intervention design and evaluation (Baquero, et al.; Shaw, et al.; Ybarra, et al.), health messages effects (Choi & Forster; Manika, et al.; Regan, et al.), and health information seeking (Bhandari, et al.; Kuttschreuter, et al.) are also included. And, many writers examinehealth message design factors (Hoeken & Sinkeldam; Lazard & Mackert; Nothwehr, et al.; Yong, et al.; Zeng-Treitler, et al.).
